> This special lecture will provide insightful information on rheology of complex systems, i.e. suspension and emulsions in personal care and pharmaceutical products, where microscopic structures and rheological behaviors are critical to product performance and consumer perception. The lecture will start with an introduction to rheology. Subsequently, a range of rheological techniques for examining complex systems will be described and demonstrated. The lecture will be concluded with Q&A session.

> Dr. Rob March: Asia Pacific Manager Rheometry Products, Malvern Instruments Ltd. [BSc (Physics) & PhD (Food Science), the University of Nottingham, UK]. Dr. Rob Marsh has worked for a number of major rheometer instrumentation manufacturers in a variety of roles from product development through applications support to sales management. He is currently responsible for the development of Malvern Instruments rheology business in the Asia Pacific region following the acquisition of Bohlin Instruments Ltd. by Malvern's parent company, Spectric plc., in late 2003. With over 20 year's experience of measuring the rheological properties of materials, he has extensive knowledge of the applications of rheology in many industrial applications. Dr. March has continuously given his contributions to expand the knowledge on rheology in Thailand for many years.
